Thanks to the spirit of research and innovation of our professionals,
Fertilab we have developed and adapted a number of specific and revolutionary techniqueswith the intention of offering the best results for our patients.

Follicular fluid transfer

Embryo transfer is carried out with embryos submerged in a small volume of liquid. Within minutes, this droplet is absorbed by the endometrium, the mucous membrane lining the uterus. Typically, the liquid used in this technique is a method of growing prepared by a commercial enterprise, but Fertilab perform the transfer with the follicular fluid of women itself. This ratio we get fluid during follicular puncture to obtain the eggs. The follicular fluid is very dense, loaded with hormones, growth factors and many other proteins. One of these proteins, hyaluronic acid, can promote embryo implantation and facilitate their adaptation to the endometrium. We must consider that the passage of a liquid environment embryos (in the laboratory are incubated in a culture medium) to a humid environment can be traumatic. An osmotic shock that, thanks to the high density of follicular fluid, favoring be damped gestation possibilities occurs.

In Fertilab took over 15 years performing embryo transfer with follicular fluid, means much more natural and physiological than those used in other assisted reproduction centers. It is a technique loaded with common sense and scientific support that offers very good results.

Conventional fertilization 'ultra-short'

Since our inception over 15 years ago when we conducted an IVF, eggs inseminated with sperm for at least two hours and a maximum of five because we know that sperm exposure over a short period improves subsequent embryonic development. After this interval, the eggs are cleaned and transferred to a clean culture medium free of sperm and other cells; a more appropriate medium for the further development of the fertilized egg. This technique is rarely used because it requires more hours of dedication, but Fertilab are committed to guard your embryos of the most exquisite manner.

Advantages of “ultra-short” fertilization:

  • The entry of sperm into the egg takes place during the first 30 minutes of contact. Our experience tells us to stop contacting the eggs and sperm for many hours does vary the rate of fertilization. Instead, remove cells in decline and toxins that create, optimize the environmental conditions in which the eggs must evolve to assimilate the most natural reaction would be in the fallopian tubes. In the laboratory, ova and embryos are not immersed in a large tissue blood microcirculation, so the only way to approach the conditions given “in vitro”, is to use common sense and periodically renew media culture.
  • The culture media are designed to adapt to the metabolic needs of each stage: from the egg to the zygote and embryo. Thus, once produced fertilization, hatching agree these elements in appropriate media in each stage. In Fertilab we found that we can get better embryo quality (most physiological) IVF “ultra-short” and serial changes of culture medium. Our studies have been published in various scientific magazines.

In the natural cycle, after ovulation, the fallopian tube captures the descending egg while amount sperm from the uterus. It is estimated that the number of sperm reaching the egg is close to several thousands. The immobile sperm and dying along the way, never have contact with the egg. Thus, we affirm that the egg is protected from toxins that create sperm die in the race to fertilization. Only the strongest will come to penetrate the egg.
